![]() CONGRATULATIONS TO MOLLY! Molly Conlon, DMD 2019 was selected as our August Member of the Month. She participated in the 2016 ASDA Annual Session in Dallas and has made countless contributions to our chapter. We wanted to give her a shout out and a BIG THANK YOU for all of her efforts thus far!! We asked Molly a few questions to give us insight into her ASDA experience and learn some fun facts. Here are her responses: Where are you from? Lake Geneva, WI What made you interested in joining the ADEA division of our ASDA chapter? I was very excited to join ADEA from the beginning of dental school, because I was an education and social policy major in college and want to teach in dental education in the future. I love that our ADEA chapter allows students to play a role in shaping their own education and develops future leaders to teach a new generation. I'm thrilled to be an ADEA officer as well! What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I grew up on a lake, so I love to be outdoors. I like to cook, play golf, ski, swim, run, and do yoga. I also have an unhealthy addiction to HGTV and history museums. What is on your bucket list? My life goal is to hike all of the U.S. National Parks, so next on my list is the Grand Circle, which is made up of six parks in Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. What is your most memorable ASDA moment? My most memorable ASDA moment is the President's Gala at Annual Session 2016. BU ASDA dressed as lobsters and lobstermen, because it was an Under the Sea theme! I loved our trip to Dallas and enjoyed getting to know BU ASDA leaders better and meeting other dental students from around the country. Any last thoughts or comments? Take advantage of the many opportunities in dental school outside of the classroom! Everyone has something they're passionate about, and ASDA and ADEA have shown me that there is a place for everyone to become a better leader and explore their interests through student activities. Even though it gets busy and it's tempting to just focus on school, my involvement in ASDA has inspired me to keep working harder and reminded me of why I chose to go to dental school in the first place.
