December 2014 member of the month

Congratulations to Matt Mara (DMD 2016) for being selected as the ASDA member of the month for December! Over the last three years, Matt has contributed immensely to the BU chapter of ASDA through his enthusiasm, wittiness, and positiveness. His introduction to ASDA started in his first year as a member of the Social Committee. During his second year, he served as a member of the Dental Education Committee and, today as a third year, he is the Vice Chair of the Dental Education Committee.

When asked about his favorite thing about his committee, he said “I love how the dental education committee offers opportunities to be involved in the dental assisting program as well as peer guided learning with other dental students. I love the Chill N’ Drills and how they foster collaboration between class years.”

Matt’s love for ASDA comes from his love for the people involved. He keeps in very close touch with members of various committees and they inspire and motivate him to be a better ASDA member.

The biggest thing on Matt’s bucket list is winning the IDEAL ASDA AWARD FOR 2015!!! #IdealBoston2015. He is also very proud of this year’s ASDA Advocacy’s video “#ifthatisnotidealidontknowwhatis”!

When Matt is not too consumed in school and ASDA, he likes to travel and improve on his Spanish.
