![]() Rushil Dang, Advanced Standing 2015, is one of the most selfless people I know. When he's not preaching about the changes needed in Medicaid, student debt, and licensing exams, he's actually doing something about it. Now, it's one thing to whine about debt and complain about the ethics surrounding live patient exams, but it’s another to stand up and fight for it. And Rushil is certainly a man of his word. Having attended Nationial Lobby Day and Bay State Student Lobby Day he has stood up to state and national legislatures to fight for the rights of dental students. There is nothing Rushil loves more than reading the paper in the morning. The feel of the dry chalky paper beneath his fingertips and the smell of the ashen ink brings him to an unexplainable level of nostalgia. Besides his love for the world's news, his favorite book happens to be The Kite Runner. And if he hadn't pursued dentistry, I'm sure we could all have guess this Indian ASDA legend would have become a cricketer. Constantly smiling, laughing, and trying to be a prankster, Rushil is always on the sunny side. I’m pretty sure his facial muscles have never expressed a frown. Although he made a killer brown Gilligan at ASDA Annual Session 2014, his spirit animal is definitely a care bear. So here's to Rushil, a one of a kind student, advocate, and friend. *Special thanks for Alyssa Mazzoli, DMD '16 who requested to personally write about Rushil
