OUR COMMUNITY OUTREACH COMMITTEE
Community Outreach is a committee that puts together activities and events that help provide services to populations who might not otherwise have access to those services. In addition to providing services, Community Outreach has an educational role, raising awareness about oral hygiene and proper oral health.

Community Outreach Chair DMD '22 | sepec@bu.edu Hometown: Medfield, MA In my free time, I enjoy traveling to and exploring different parts of the city, socializing with friends, and baking all types of delicious desserts! Soccer has always been a huge part of my life and I love getting the chance to play pick-up with friends. Being a part of ASDA has been very rewarding! I have been able to interact with and work with both my peers and dental students from all classes and be a voice in the greater dental community. Some of my favorite ASDA events have been the Big/Little Mentor program and the donation/fundraiser drives hosted by the Community Outreach Committee! |

Community Outreach Co-Vice Chair DMD '24 | rikitaj@bu.edu Hometown: Rutherford, NJ Hi, I'm Rikita! Outside of dental school, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and biking around Boston. Growing up, dance has been a major part of my life and has been a great way for me to meet individuals who share the same passion. I enjoy exploring all the great eats around Boston and spending quality time with family/friends. I'm very passionate about photography and look forward to going on more photowalks during the New England seasons. A fun fact about me is that I can do latte art (even with my eyes closed). My favorite ASDA event is the Big/Little program because it enables students to connect with another dental student and create a strong supportive community at Boston University GSDM. |

Current Events
Boston University Global Days of Service 2017 Our Community Outreach Committee and BU ASDA members had an amazing time volunteering with the Greater Boston Food Bank for BUGSDM's Global Days of Service. Our volunteers sorted 12,215 pounds of food, salvaged 11,604 pounds of food, and made 9,670 meals possible for those in need. We are so thankful for our time at the GBFB and can't wait to go back and volunteer again! |
